WHO WE ARE
New Horizon Residential Homes (NHRH) was founded with a simple but powerful belief: Every person—regardless of intellectual or developmental disability—deserves dignity, joy, and a place to call home.
Two years ago, a team of healthcare professionals with more than 30 years of combined experience came together with a shared calling. Our founders come from diverse disciplines, including clinical psychiatry, advanced practice nursing, pharmacy, social work, and case management. After decades of serving individuals and families across Illinois, they reached a point in their careers where they knew it was time to give back in a deeper and more personal way.
For one of our founders, Adeniyi, this mission is rooted in family. Growing up, he watched a beloved uncle live with an intellectual disability without access to supportive services, structured day programming, or community living options. His family lacked the resources to give his uncle the care he truly deserved. That experience shaped Adeniyi’s lifelong passion: to ensure that individuals with intellectual disabilities are not overlooked, but seen, valued, celebrated, and supported to live full, meaningful lives.
